(1) The citizens' initiative aimed at calling a referendum may be submitted to the mayor or the chairman of the general assembly (in this chapter jointly 'the mayor') once within one month after the authentication of the signature-collecting sheet. Signatures submitted subsequently, supplementing the initiative shall be invalid.
(2) In case of failing to comply with the defined time frame, the local or regional election committee will not check signatures.
