As regards the nomination of candidates for mayor, the provisions of this Act applying to standing for election for majority electionsto a municipal council shall apply mutatis mutandis. When a candidate for mayor is nominated by a group of voters, the required number of signatures shall be at least 2% of the number of voters in the municipality who voted in the first round in the last regular election for mayor, but not less than 15 and not more than 2500.
