Concerning the legislation on referendums, the main recommendations of the 2021 Venice Commission opinion, to abolish the fees for signature authentication, give the electoral commissions the power to check signatures and to provide objective information to voters, were followed. Some recommendations, however, remain to be addressed, in particular, to extend the right to appeal to all voters.
