Under Articles 184(2) and 216(2), neither national nor local referendum can be held on the same day as parliamentary, presidential or local elections. This is a positive change which contributes to voters' informed choices. Another amendment requires that questions submitted to a referendum allow replies by “yes” or “no” (instead of “in favour” or “against”), a preferred voting modality for binary questions.
