In very few states, the legislative may call a referendum on the dismissal of the executive or vice versa. Each of these two possible cases appears once in the replies to the questionnaire. In Austria, a referendum on the dismissal of the President can be called by a two-thirds majority of the National Council; in Latvia, by contrast, it is the President who can call a referendum on the dissolution of Parliament.
