Right to Appeal

(1).The candidates for Members of the European Parliament for the Republic of Bulgaria, the parties, coalitions of parties, and the person representing the nomination committee who have registered candidates in the elections, may dispute the legitimacy of the election of a Member of the European Parliament for the Republic of Bulgaria before the authorities referred to in Art. 150, Para. 1 of the Constitution, within 7 day term after the decision declaring the election results is made public by the Central Election Commission.

(2) Within 15 days after the decision declaring the election results is made public by the Central Election Commission, the authorities referred to in Art. 150 Para. 1 of the Constitution, acting on the received claim under para. 1 or on its own initiative, may approach the Constitutional Court with a reasoned petition to pronounce on the legitimacy of the elections of a Member of the European Parliament for the Republic of Bulgaria.
