The procedure for the election of members of councils of national minorities and representatives of national minorities who are elected in units pursuant to the provisions of the Constitutional Act on the Rights of National Minorities shall be regulated by a separate act.

Until the new act comes into force, the provisions shall remain in force of the Act on the Election of Members of Representative Bodies of Units of Local and Regional Selfgovernment (Official Gazette, nos. 33/01, 10/02, 155/02, 45/03, 43/04, 40/05, 44/05, 109/07 and 24/11) relating to the election of members of councils of national minorities and representatives of national minorities in units, and the provisions on the election of members of representative bodies in the part that appropriately applies to the elections of members of councils of national minorities and representatives of national minorities.
