Article 13.13 of the draft law prescribes that the collection of signatures shall be carried out within 45 days or, in the case of Article 10 of the draft law, within 60 days from the registration of the initiative group. In case of electronic collection of signatures, any deadlines should be calculated from the time the requisite equipment is made available to the signature collectors. At any rate, the (constitutional) deadline of 60 days for the collection of 300,000 signatures is very tight, which makes the requirement to simplify the procedure still more important.
