In the case the term of office of a deputy of the National Assembly who was appointed a MEP terminates, unless the mandate period of the National Assembly elapsed, instead of such MEP a new MEP shall be appointed. The appointment shall be carried out on the basis of a proposal submitted to the Commission by the deputy group whose member was the MEP whose mandate terminated.
