He was born in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, on March 23, 1942. He attended the elementary, high school and university there. He is a graduate from the School of Law of Chiapas, based in San Cristóbal de las Casas, where he graduated with the dissertation “Legal and socioeconomic consequences of the strike”.
He was born in Mexico, City on October 17, 1968. He is has a PHD in Law by the Complutense University of Madrid; Constitutional Law and Political Science expert by the Constitutional Studies Center of Madrid and Law degree from the Iberoamericana University with Honors.
Flavio Galván Rivera is a law graduate of the UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico), he received his bachelor’s degree in law on January 20, 1976. On July 1, 1976, he received the diploma of specialization in Private Law. On October 24, 1996, he defended the dissertation “Mexican Electoral Procedural Law” in the UNAM, obtaining the degree of Doctor of Law. On November 8, 2002, he received the Master’s Degree, defending the dissertation “Concubinage in the Current Mexican Law”.
Conforme a lo dispuesto en el punto segundo del Acuerdo General de la Sala Superior del Tribunal Electoral del Poder Judicial de la Federación número 3/2008, aprobado el treinta de abril de dos mil ocho, relativo a la determinación de los días inhábiles, para los efectos del cómputo de plazos procesales en los asuntos jurisdiccionales competencia del Tribunal Electoral.
